Guadalupe-Saldaña Net Zero Subdivision, TX
The project is the first 100% affordable housing, net-zero energy community project in the State of Texas, possibly the nation. A total of 90 homes including single-family, two-family, and town home dwellings will be developed. The units will range in size from 650 sq. ft. (one bedroom, one bath) to 2000 sq. ft. (five bedrooms, 2.5 baths). Every unit on this property will be affordable at 80% or below MFI for homeowners and at 60% or below MFI for renters.

Guadalupe-Saldaña Net-Zero Subdivision Site Clean-Up

October 24, 2009, has been declared the International Day of Climate Action, coordinated by 350.org to promote awareness that the sustainable limit of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is 350 ppm. Join volunteers on Saturday, October 24th, to help clean up the Guadalupe/Saldaña Net Zero Site, the future home of Austin’s first 100% affordable net-zero energy residential development.
Jeremiah Cuts Ribbon in Austin, TX

Jeremiah Program and its partner, Guadalupe Neighborhood Development Corporation (GNDC), welcomed families into newly constructed duplexes in a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, September 19, 2013. Four young women from Jeremiah Program and their children will live in half of the duplexes, with GNDC residents occupying the other four. This is phase 1 of the project for Jeremiah Program. The duplexes are located in Guadalupe-Saldaña Net-Zero Subdivision, a former unregistered dupsite and brownfield in East Austin.
